Year Index

The Year Index arranges objects chronologically by date of production in ascending order, with dates given in CE. Dates may be exact or approximate and may be provided by year, decade, or century, to the best of our present knowledge. For premodern objects dated according to the lunar calendar, the dates given here reflect a direct conversion and may not correspond precisely to the Gregorian calendar year, since the final months of a lunar year may fall within the following Gregorian year.Entries are prioritized under transliterated titles. Objects known by multiple titles are listed more fully in the Title Index.
